Senses Signature Retreat
Immersive therapeutic retreats grounded in somatic psychology, trauma-informed care, and embodiment.
Thoughtfully designed to support emotional health, nervous system restoration, and embodied wellbeing.
A Different Approach
The experience is only one part of the process.
For those living with the effects of trauma, chronic stress, burnout, or significant life transitions, the path toward healing is rarely linear.
It often asks for time, compassionate therapeutic support, and an approach that honours the complexity of both the human experience and the nervous system.
At Senses, every Signature Retreat is grounded in the Senses Therapeutic Model—an integrated approach that brings together somatic psychology, trauma-informed care, embodiment, and psychedelic-assisted therapy within one carefully held framework of care.
Designed to support trauma recovery, emotional health, and nervous system restoration, psychedelic-assisted therapy is approached as one part of a broader therapeutic model rather than a standalone intervention.
Intentional preparation, immersive therapeutic experiences, and post-retreat integration work together to support deeper emotional processing, strengthen nervous system regulation, and create the conditions for lasting embodied change.
Intentionally limited to eight participants, each retreat is designed to support deeper therapeutic exploration within a safe, relational, and thoughtfully held environment.
Why Somatic Psychology?
Understanding trauma through the body.
Our emotional lives are not experienced through the mind alone. They are lived through the body and the nervous system.
The ways we respond to stress, navigate relationships, and move through the world are shaped by lived experience. Over time, the body develops patterns that help us adapt to challenge, uncertainty, trauma, and disconnection.
These responses are not signs of dysfunction, they are intelligent adaptations that have supported us through difficult experiences.
Somatic psychology offers a compassionate and clinically informed framework for understanding how these experiences continue to shape the body and nervous system.
Rather than asking us to overcome these patterns, it invites us to understand them with greater curiosity, supporting emotional regulation, resilience, and a deeper sense of connection.
This understanding forms the foundation of the Senses Therapeutic Model, shaping the trauma-informed approach that guides every stage of the retreat.
Why Therapeutic Immersion?
Creating the conditions for deeper restoration.
Many individuals spend years carrying emotional pain, chronic stress, and patterns of survival without the space to fully attend to them.
The pace of everyday life often asks us to keep moving forward, making it difficult to sustain the reflection and support that deeper therapeutic work can require.
Immersive experiences offer something different.
By stepping away from familiar routines and creating dedicated space for the work, the nervous system has greater opportunity to settle. Awareness can deepen, allowing patterns that are often difficult to recognize in daily life to become more accessible.
With sustained therapeutic support, this creates the conditions for deeper exploration, integration, and meaningful change that can extend beyond the experience itself.
Our Trauma-Informed Approach
Safety is not simply part of the experience. It is the foundation of it.
Every individual arrives with a unique history, lived experience, and capacity for this work. There is no single path through trauma, and no two experiences of recovery unfold in the same way.
At Senses, trauma-informed care is more than a clinical framework—it shapes every aspect of how the retreat is experienced. We believe emotional safety creates the conditions for deeper exploration, allowing each participant to move at a pace that honours their individual needs, readiness, and capacity.
Throughout the retreat, participants are met with presence, compassion, and deep respect for their individual experience.
Emotional safety, informed choice, and thoughtful pacing guide every stage of the therapeutic process, creating an environment where trust can deepen and meaningful therapeutic work can unfold with care.
An Integrated Approach to Trauma Recovery
The Senses Therapeutic Model
Trauma recovery is rarely supported by a single approach. It asks for a therapeutic process that honours the interconnected nature of the body, mind, nervous system, and lived experience.
The Senses Therapeutic Model brings together six complementary foundations, each offering a distinct perspective within a shared philosophy of care. Together, they create an integrated approach that honours the complexity of the human experience.
The Foundations
The Senses Therapeutic Model
01
Somatic Psychology
The foundation of our work.
Somatic psychology offers a compassionate framework for understanding how lived experiences are held within the body and nervous system, supporting emotional regulation, resilience, and connection.
02
Trauma-Informed Care
Creating the conditions for safety.
Trauma-informed care shapes every aspect of the therapeutic process. Emotional safety, informed choice, thoughtful pacing, and respect for each person's unique history create the conditions for meaningful therapeutic work to unfold.
03
Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy
One part of a broader therapeutic process.
Psychedelic-assisted therapy is approached as one part of a broader therapeutic process. Thoughtful preparation, clinical support, and integration help translate profound experiences into meaningful and lasting change.
04
Ancient Wisdom
Honouring generations of wisdom.
Ancient wisdom reminds us that healing has long been understood as both personal and relational. Ceremony, ritual, and connection with the natural world complement contemporary therapeutic practice with reverence and care.
05
Embodiment
Where insight becomes lived experience.
Embodiment recognizes that meaningful change extends beyond insight alone. Through movement, breath, and embodied awareness, new experiences become part of how we live, relate, and move through the world.
06
Integration
Where therapeutic change continues.
Integration recognizes that meaningful therapeutic work unfolds over time. It is the process through which insight is gently embodied, allowing lasting change to emerge with greater awareness, intention, and care.
Your Therapeutic Team
A shared philosophy of care.
The Senses therapeutic team is brought together by a shared commitment to trauma-informed care and the deeply relational nature of this work.
Each practitioner brings their own experience and expertise while working within the Senses philosophy, grounded in compassionate presence and respect for each participant’s individual experience.

Danielle Paré
Danielle is the founder of Senses: A Somatic Experience, a somatic practice devoted to trauma recovery, emotional wellbeing, and embodied care. She draws from relational, body-centred approaches to create therapeutic spaces where emotional safety, compassionate attunement, and thoughtful pacing allow deeper healing to unfold.

Somatic Movement & Embodiment
Emilia Morán
Emilia is a trauma-informed yoga practitioner whose work is grounded in the relationship between movement, embodiment, and the nervous system. Her approach draws from somatic, restorative, and yin yoga to support greater body awareness, presence, and an internal sense of safety.
At the heart of her practice is the understanding that movement can offer a pathway back into relationship with the body. Through gentle, intentional exploration, she invites individuals to slow down, reconnect with sensation, and develop a deeper awareness of their internal experience.
Her teaching moves away from expectation and performance, creating space for movement to be guided by presence, choice, and respect for each individual’s capacity.
Clinical & Ceremonial Support
The Senses approach to ancestral and ceremonial practice is grounded in an ongoing relationship with Indigenous Wisdom Keepers, who are an integral part of the therapeutic team. Through apprenticeship, guidance, and permission, these traditions are approached with reverence for their lineage, integrity, and cultural origins.
Alongside this work, each retreat is supported on site by a licensed psychedelic-assisted therapist and medical doctor, providing dedicated clinical oversight and care throughout the experience.

Is This Retreat Right for You?
Supporting those ready for deeper emotional exploration.
The Senses Signature Retreat has been thoughtfully designed for individuals who feel ready to engage in deeper emotional exploration within a safe, supportive, and trauma-informed environment.
Every person's experience is unique, and there is no single path through this work. If you recognize yourself in some of the experiences below, this retreat may be a meaningful next step in your journey.
This retreat may be supportive if you are:
- Living with the ongoing effects of trauma, chronic stress, or burnout.
- Seeking a deeper understanding of long-held emotional patterns, rather than temporary symptom relief.
- Looking for a therapeutic approach that integrates the body, the nervous system, and emotional wellbeing.
- Feeling called to explore psychedelic-assisted therapy within a carefully prepared, trauma-informed, and clinically supported environment.
- Moving through a significant life transition and seeking space for reflection, integration, and meaningful change.
- Looking for a therapeutic experience that values intentional preparation, emotional safety, and post-retreat integration as much as the retreat itself.
- Ready to engage with curiosity, openness, and a willingness to participate in your own therapeutic process.
Your Therapeutic Journey
A journey that begins before you arrive.
The Senses Signature Retreat unfolds across three connected phases: preparation, the immersive retreat experience, and integration.
Each stage is designed to support the next, creating continuity of care from the first preparation session through your return home.
The Experience
Your Therapeutic Journey
01
Therapeutic Preparation
Building the foundation before you arrive.
Your journey begins with two private preparation sessions with the facilitators before you arrive in Baja. These sessions provide dedicated time to explore your history, intentions, readiness, and individual needs while beginning to establish the trust and therapeutic relationship that will support the work ahead.
02
The Retreat Experience
Six nights of immersive therapeutic care.
Over six nights, you’ll move through a thoughtfully paced program that brings together somatic psychology, embodiment, therapeutic group work, ancient wisdom traditions, restorative practices, and time in nature.
At the heart of the experience is a single guided psychedelic-assisted therapy session, carefully held within the broader arc of the retreat. The days surrounding the ceremony weave together individual support, group process, embodied practice, reflection, and restoration, allowing the work to deepen gradually while remaining attentive to your individual capacity.
Integration begins within the retreat itself, allowing emerging insights and emotional experiences to be explored with greater awareness and care.
03
Integration
Supporting the continuation of the work.
Following the retreat, three private integration sessions provide continued therapeutic support as you return to your everyday life.
Integration offers an opportunity to reflect on what emerged during the retreat, deepen emotional understanding, and explore how new insights and perspectives may be embodied beyond the experience itself.
