Senses: A Somatic Experience
Danielle — founder of Senses

About Danielle

A grounded and compassionate approach to emotional healing.

Danielle is the founder of Senses and a somatic practitioner devoted to emotional wellbeing, nervous system care, and embodied living.

Danielle's work is devoted to emotional health, nervous system care, and embodied wellbeing.

Through years of personal trauma recovery, extensive professional training, and embodied practice, she has come to understand that meaningful change often begins by learning to listen more closely to the body's experience.

Rather than approaching emotional suffering as something to overcome, Danielle understands many of the patterns people carry as intelligent adaptations that once served to create safety, connection, or survival. This perspective shapes a practice rooted in curiosity, compassion, and deep respect for each person's individual experience.

At the heart of her work is a simple belief: true wellness begins with the emotional body, and developing a more compassionate relationship with our inner experience can profoundly influence the way we live, relate, and heal.

Her approach

Healing through the body, nervous system, and emotional experience.

Emotional experiences are not held in the mind alone.

They are reflected throughout the body and nervous system, influencing the ways we perceive safety, relate to others, and respond to the world around us.

Experiences of trauma, chronic stress, relational pain, and adversity can shape patterns that persist long after the original experience has passed. These responses often develop as adaptive strategies, influencing emotional wellbeing, relationships, and everyday life.

Danielle supports individuals in bringing greater awareness to these patterns through the wisdom of the body.

By working with sensation, emotion, movement, breath, and relational experience, individuals begin developing new ways of relating to themselves with greater awareness, emotional capacity, and self-compassion.

Known for her warm, grounded, and relational presence, Danielle creates therapeutic spaces that honour each person's lived experience, individual capacity, and unique process.

Her work continues to evolve through ongoing education, clinical mentorship, embodied practice, and immersive therapeutic work.

She approaches this work with humility, curiosity, and a deep respect for the complexity of human experience, recognizing that meaningful therapeutic practice is shaped by both continued learning and lived experience.

The heart of the work

Creating spaces where people feel safe enough to reconnect to themselves.

Many of the individuals Danielle works with are highly capable and deeply self-aware, yet find themselves feeling emotionally exhausted and disconnected.

Her work offers a slower and more intentional approach to healing. One that values emotional honesty, embodied awareness, and nervous system safety over performance or quick transformation.

Through private sessions, immersive experiences, and group work, Danielle creates spaces that feel grounded, relational, and deeply supportive of each person's individual process.

Her approach is guided by compassion, integrity, and respect for the body's natural pace of healing and integration.

Danielle — vision behind Senses

The vision behind Senses

The vision behind Senses.

Senses was created as a practice devoted to emotional wellbeing, embodied healing, and nervous system care.

What began as intimate therapeutic work has continued evolving into a broader vision for emotionally intelligent and trauma-informed healing experiences rooted in somatic psychology, embodiment, and relational care.

Danielle's long-term intention for Senses is to create spaces that support deeper restoration, meaningful connection, and a more grounded approach to wellbeing through therapy, immersive retreats, movement, and collaborative experiences.

Future plans include the development of a retreat sanctuary in Todos Santos designed to offer restorative and thoughtfully curated environments for healing, reflection, and embodied living.
